Digitization

You want to digitise your records and your archival material and make them searchable, for example through the web. Or perhaps your records should be available to third-parties. We rely on our IT-knowledge and method competency and work together with digitization service providers.

• We determine with you the amount, the resolution and the type of metadata in which records should be digitized.
• For the actual digitization we work together with service providers with highly specialised equipment.
• We run optical character recognition (OCR) on scanned documents and usually produce PDF/A-files. Large amounts of PDF-files can be searched comfortably with the help of an index.
• We scan photographs and negative plates, add metadata and build an image database.
• We design and provide the digitization of analogue audio and film material.
• We digitize existing archives catalogues, render them ISAD(G)-compatible and integrate them into existing or new databases.
