System integration
We install, parameterise and integrate our own tools as well as third-party open-source-tools on existing IT platforms. We also offer training and maintenance for third-party tools. We apply the following third-party tools regularly while working closely with the respective manufacturing firms.
Fedora Commons
Fedora is a repository system which manages and saves digital objects. Docuteam uses Fedora for digital archives for their long-term assignments, specifically for ABB’s historical archives and the city archives Baden. Fedora’s object model is very flexible and can be adjusted to its appropriate purpose.
AtoM
The web-based archival description software AtoM (Access to Memory) is a project originally product by the international council on archives ICA. It is a reference installation of the archiving standards ISAD(G), ISAAR (CPF) and ISDF. Metadata can be exported in standardised formats such as EAD or EAC. ICA AtoM is open-sourced and self-explanatory. The installation is straightforward and the system well-suited for small archives or single projects.
